Donor FAQ
What does LFAS support?
LFAS supports student access, scholarship-style assistance, books, tools, learning materials, education-continuity needs, and public education around affordability and workforce mobility where aligned with foundation policy.
Can I sponsor a specific student?
Specific-student support must be handled carefully. LFAS must protect privacy, avoid improper promises, and follow its review and stewardship process. Donor preference may be considered only where lawful, appropriate, documented, and approved by the foundation.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Tax treatment depends on LFAS’s current public nonprofit status, receipt language, applicable law, and the donor’s own tax situation. This website does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice.
Does a donation guarantee a scholarship?
No. A donation does not guarantee a scholarship or any specific outcome. Donations support the foundation’s charitable student-access mission. Student support depends on available funds, documentation, review, mission fit, and foundation approval.
How does LFAS protect student dignity?
LFAS should avoid public hardship exposure, use consent-safe stories only when appropriate, and keep private student and donor information out of public fundraising language.
