How Support Is Considered
LFAS support should be considered through a careful process that protects both students and donors. The goal is to respond to real education barriers with dignity, documentation, and responsible stewardship.
Review Factors
- Mission fit: whether the need connects to education access, training continuity, completion, or lawful workforce mobility.
- Available resources: whether funds or support capacity are available for the requested purpose.
- Documentation: whether enough appropriate information exists to review the request responsibly.
- Privacy: whether the process can protect sensitive student, family, financial, or hardship information.
- Stewardship: whether support can be tracked and communicated honestly without overpromising.
First Inquiry Guidance
A first inquiry should be general. Students should not send sensitive documents in an ordinary first email. If more documentation is needed, LFAS should identify an appropriate next step.
No Guarantee Statement
Review does not guarantee aid. LFAS does not guarantee scholarships, admission, graduation, licensure, employment, tax treatment, or outcomes. Support depends on available funds, documentation, review, mission fit, and foundation approval.
